It’s not appropriation, if anything it’s appreciation. And it’s not ironic because my ancestors didn’t murder Native Americans, my ancestors were Native Americans, that’s what led me to get the tattoo. I am the smallest bit Native American but it is there. I’m not just a white girl, I, like many other people, am a mixture of a lot of different ethnicities. You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover.
To the people who think it’s “racist” to get a Native American tattoo when you’re not Native American- Learn the definition of racist. A racist is a person who believes a particular race is superior to others. Getting a tattoo of a race that you don’t belong to is not the slightest bit racist. Being offensive is one thing, being racist is a whole other thing. Don’t make comments or judgements out of ignorance.
